Moto X4 with 6GB of RAM launches exclusively in India

The Moto X4 has been available for a few months already, but Motorola has decided to up the ante a bit for its potential customers in India. The company has announced a brand new version of the device, which “only” sees a bit of a spec bump.

The standard version of the Moto X4 launched with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, depending upon your preferences, but starting this week, folks in India can get a version of the X4 which is equipped with 6GB of RAM. The rest of the specs are the same, so you’ll still have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, and 64GB of expandable storage.

The X4 also has a 5.2-inch FHD display, which does not have a fancy bezel-less display as Motorola and Lenovo decided to stick with the standard 16:9 display for this device. There is also a 16MP selfie camera and a dual-camera system on the rear with a primary 12MP sensor and a secondary 8MP sensor.

One awesome thing about this release of the new Moto X4 is that Motorola has stated that the device will feature Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. This removes the need for consumers to worry about when or if the device will be updated to the latest version of Android, which will save a lot of headaches.

The new Moto X4 will be priced at Rs 25,000 (~$392), which is around the same cost as the standard Moto X4 here in the US. The device will go on sale starting on February 1st and will only be coming in the “Super Black” color variant. Let us know if you would like to see this version of the X4 launched elsewhere, or if you’re perfectly okay with having 4GB of RAM on this mid-range device.
